Highlights: Kalahari Desert, Fish River Canyon, Quiver Tree Forest, Lüderitz, Nubib Mountains, Sossusvlei, Leopards and Cheetahs, Windhoek. We head east to Stampriet with its plantations fed by natural springs. Follow the Auob River Valley to the Gochas area and the red, vegetated dunes of the Kalahari Desert. We travel south in the desert to picturesque Quiver Tree Forest for sightseeing and a picnic lunch. Onto the magnificent boulder-laden plains and hills east of the Fish River Canyon, second largest in the world. Enjoy a guided excursion to explore the Fish River Canyon with its viewpoints high above the deep winding gorges. We then continue towards the Nubib Mountains with a visit at the ghost town of Kolmanskop and have a brief stopover at Garub, a maintained water point where the legendary wild desert horses of the Sperrgebiet can be observed and photographed as they come to drink.
